Piramex has been no stranger to our imprint this past year, having already contributed the anthemic "Aquamarine" and "Nothing Matters" rework of Blugazer's "Ethereal Concepts." The exceedingly talented Russian has certainly proven to us already that he is capable of composing sophisticated club-friendly trance and progressive, with soaring melodic themes and gut-busting basslines. We're excited to present a brand new EP from Piramex, kicking off with the rapturous "Aravia." The tune begins with a thunderous bassline, soon followed by a hypnotic arp line. The soundscape is further enhanced by additional synth layers, as well as a vocal motif that quickly becomes the song's central theme. In the main break, a gorgeous piano line and thrilling pads crescendo into a hands-in-the-air drop. The subsequent cut, "Organique," is equally energetic and memorable. Once again, a stadium-filling bassline firmly establishes the track in peak-hour terrain. An echoing vocal stab and warm pads give the song a radiant aura, leading into the enchanting breakdown, in which a mystical flute and harp contribute a timeless score. The "medieval" instruments alongside the hyper-modern synth lines prove to be a refreshing and jubilant combination. Once again, the drop is both festival-ready and highly engaging to more discriminating fans of electronica.

Dance music's month of July is traditionally populated with a plethora of festivals, and none come bigger than the Belgian-hosting Tomorrowland. Markus Schulz has played a starring role at the event in recent years, with a record breaking 12 hours in 2013 and a collective 16 hours across two weekends in 2014. And for this year, he has been specifically assigned a starring role at the festival's main stage - performing the Daybreak Sessions on the Sunday. The role therefore made the much-loved travelled DJ's choice of production to mark July's city series entry an easy one, with the track in particular paying homage to the art of his extended sets, encapsulated in the grand outdoor ambiance. Daybreak has been an ever present in every open to close solo set from Markus for quite some time, and became a notorious ID through multiple appearances on Global DJ Broadcast and beyond. With a driving bassline combined with an addictive melody of varying emotions, Daybreak will have plenty of suitors for the summer.
